PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

The TC extraction tower is one of the main equipment for liquidliquid solvent extraction, realizing mixing and mass transfer through countercurrent contact of "continuous phase + dispersed phase" in the tower. Its core mechanism is to drive flow by twophase density difference and enhance interphase contact through tower internals, finally realizing separation and enrichment of target components. According to different internals, it is generally divided into rotating disc type, sieve plate type, packing type, pulse type, stirring type, etc.

The working principle of the TC extraction tower is to make the extract phase (light phase/heavy phase) and raffinate phase (heavy phase/light phase) flow reversely in the tower, and maximize the transfer efficiency of solute components through repeated contact/separation. Among them, the twophase flow mode determines the mass transfer efficiency.

The continuous phase occupies most of the tower space and flows continuously (e.g., the dense aqueous phase is the continuous phase and flows downward along the tower wall), while the dispersed phase is dispersed into tiny droplets (diameter 0.1~5mm) and dispersed in the continuous phase (e.g., the light organic phase is dispersed into droplets and floats upward). The countercurrent driving force mainly depends on the twophase density difference (gravity/buoyancy), or enhanced flow by external power (such as pulse, stirring).
